		<description>It&#039;s funny - you can see when Google first started to react to this issue here: http://www.hackernews.com/2010/01/17/google-spanking-inspires-basic-basic-gmail-change/.  So in those first 2 weeks of January, Google started hitting the lowest hanging fruits on the gmail security tree.

It makes me wonder - was this just a Phishing attack or was it the SSL client-initiated renegotiation bug?  

Also, are &quot;NSA backdoors&quot; just bugs these days?  Adding bugs as a covert way of installing a back door is not a new idea.  In fact, I&#039;ve personally run into bugs that seemed more like backdoors than mistakes.</description>
