    KiwiCon (Wellington, NZ)

    November 27, 2010toNovember 28, 2010

    KiwiCon

Kiwicon is New Zealand’s best (well, only) hacker conference, now in its fourth year. Organised by and for the security community, Kiwicon brings together the commercial infosec industry, academics, students, and hobbyist hackers to exchange whats hip, new and technologically crackin’.

Started in 2007, Kiwicon has quickly gained both reputation and size, with sold out venues in 2008 and 2009 – 350 people in a country the size of a small city in most other countries.

Kiwicon will, for the fourth year, be held at Rutherford House, in Victoria University of Wellington’s Pipitea campus, despite the fact that previously they were somehow labouring under the misapprehension that we were from the New Zealand Institite of Minced Meats, here to discuss the latest developments in sausage basting. Dunno quite how that happened.
The good folks at Victoria Uni also overlooked the fact we had sellout crowds and a bunch of dirty stinking hackers filling up their nice lecture theatres in previous years.

The lecture theatre for the main presentation track is designated RHLT1.

Rutherford House is located on the corner of Bunny St and Lambton Quay. The lecture theatre entrance is on Bunny St. Consult the map below for details.
